From the Heritage Collection, our 'Max' Loose Top thick, full-cushioned merino socks are ideal for wearing with work boots and gumboots, for hiking.
The outside of the sock is a tidy plain knit, while on the inside the threads are pulled by terry jacks during knitting to form a loop between every stitch (like the surface of a towel) giving them a springy feel and extra air pockets for insulation.
They are strong and durable, making them the ultimate work and outdoor/adventure sock.
These loose top socks have no elastic at all, they will shape to your feet after the first wash. The well shaped heel will keep them in place. They're perfect for people with blood circulation issues, or for diabetics.
Our 'Max' Loose Top socks are suitable for work boots up to 20cm in height. If you're after a longer length work boot sock you may wish to try our 'Max Plus' socks.
